Beyonce’s new album BEYONCÉ first week sales projection is in.
The pop star’s 5th solo effort is projected to sell over 550,000 in its opening week and will likely debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart this week.
Some industry sources predicted the album will reach well over 600,000 copies.
Beyonce did this after abruptly releasing her album on December 13 with only four days left in the sales week.
She sold 80,000 copies in just three hours after it was release at midnight.
With these sales figured, Beyonce will trump most of this year’s big debuts including her husband Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, which sold 528,000 opening week, Kanye West’s Yeezus, which sold 327,000 copies first week, and One Direction, who sold 546,000 of their album in the first week.
All of those album had a full week sale, which Beyonce only had four days.
